THE MORRIS CHAIR

The Morris chair, pictured, is an early reclining model which was brought to the market around 1866.
The design was adapted by William Morris's firm, Morris & Company, from a prototype owned by Ephraim Colman.
This glorious example was in need of some serious TLC when it was dropped in to us earlier this year for repair. It has been brought into 2015 with careful woodwork and castor restoration as well as recovering in Textilia's Antica - an amazing example of a fabric which does justice to an antique piece whilst updating it for the modern interior.
